Services Held Today for Victim of Crash

A memorial service for Kristie Brooks, 39, will be at 11 a.m. today at Grace Community Church, 138 8th St. A reception following the service will be at Seacoast Community Church, 919 Electric Ave.
Brooks was killed Sunday in a car accident near Barstow that seriously injured her daughter, Danyel. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Brooks.
Survivors include Danyel, 15, and another daughter, Jamie, 11, both of Seal Beach, and a sister, Kathy Overholtzer of Brea.
