1994 Clos Pegase Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley ($22.50)

Clos Pegase has produced a 1994 Cabernet that charms with its brilliant garnet color, vibrant fruit and sweet scent of dark berries and vanilla. A blend of Cabernet from two vineyards with a little Merlot, it has round, supple tannins that shouldn’t scare off anyone. Nor will the price, which is moderate considering the quality.
