The 1997 Southern California Motocross Series comes...

The 1997 Southern California Motocross Series comes to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster tonight.

Gates open to spectators at 6 p.m., with the first race at 7 p.m. Gates open to riders at 4 p.m., with practice from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30.

Motocross events are scheduled at the fairgrounds May 3, May 17, May 24 and May 31.

General admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children 6 to 12. Children five and under are free.

Men’s soccer teams from Cal State Northridge, Cal State Dominguez Hills and The Master’s College will play in a round-robin tournament today at Northridge’s North Campus Stadium.

Master’s plays Dominguez Hills at 4 p.m., with Northridge facing Dominguez Hills at 5:30 p.m. and Master’s at 7 p.m.

Games consist of 30-minute halves. Admission is free.
