Cal Lutheran’s McGee Catches SCIAC Award

Cal Lutheran catcher Tom McGee was chosen Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the year.
McGee, a senior from Rialto, is batting .420 with 14 home runs, 44 runs batted in and 52 runs.
Four Kingsmen made the All-SCIAC team and two were on the second team.
Pitchers Richard Bell (9-1, 1.89 earned-run average) and Marco Marquez (9-1, 2.90), first baseman-designated hitter Anthony Olden (.412, 11 home runs) and third baseman Mike Young (.331, 32 RBIs) were all-league picks.
Pitcher Erik Kiszczak (10-2-1, 2.80) and first baseman-designated hitter Brad Smith (.396, 21 doubles, 55 RBIs) made second team.
Cal Lutheran (33-7, 20-1 in conference play) won the SCIAC championship and is ranked No. 3 in the nation.
