A dog’s world on Disney; experiments abound on ‘The Parent Hood’ and ‘Sister, Sister’ on the WB

All types of dogs are examined in “The Case of the Curious Canine” on National Geographic’s Really Wild Animals (Disney Channel, Sunday at 9 a.m.). Spin, the animated globe, assumes the role of Spinlock Holmes and looks at wild dogs and household pets, explaining that hundreds of different breeds are descended from wolves. For ages 5 to 11.

Max (Francis Capra) is a troubled city kid who discovers a boom box that contains a huge and powerful genie in Kazaam (Disney, Sunday at 7 p.m.). Kazaam is played by the Los Angeles Lakers superstar center Shaquille O’Neal. Kazaam grants Max the usual three wishes and helps him find his estranged father. For ages 8 to 15.

A “Showtime Original Pictures for Kids,” Legend of the Lost Tomb (Sunday at 8 p.m.), shot entirely on location in Egypt, takes viewers from the Pyramids of Giza to the marketplace in Cairo to a small village on the Nile. Stacy Keach plays the evil Dr. Bent, who kidnaps fellow Egyptologist Dr. Leonhardt (Rick Rossovich), who is trying to get credit for an important discovery Leonhardt has made. Dr. Leonhardt’s estranged son (Brock Pierce) and friend (Kimberlee Peterson) go on an exotic adventure in search of the father and the treasure Rameses II. For ages 10 to 15.

Robert (Robert Townsend), in a fantasy scene spoofing the Mel Brooks classic “Bride of Frankenstein,” tries to create the perfect boy for his daughter Zaria in “Rappin’ It Up,” on The Parent Hood (WB, Sunday at 8 p.m.) Singer Tevin Campbell and actor Gary Coleman guest star. For ages 10 to 15.

When the school nerd (guest-star Cory Tyler) wants a date with Tia (Tia Mowry), Tamera (Tamera Mowry) helps transform him on “My Guy,” an episode of Sister, Sister (The WB, Wednesday at 8 p.m.). Tamera changes him into a stud in exchange for tickets to a sold-out Boyz II Men concert. Tamera then falls for her own creation. For ages 10 to 15.
