Robbery, Police Chase End in 3 Arrests

Anaheim officers interrupted an apparent robbery Saturday night, prompting an hourlong police pursuit that ended with the arrest of three suspects in Los Angeles, police said Sunday.

Just before 7 p.m., police responded to a possible robbery-in-progress at Nyton Computers, in the 4800 block of East La Palma Avenue, and saw three men loading computer equipment into a blue van parked in an alley behind the store.

The men had entered the store, and at gunpoint ordered customers and employees to the rear and bound their hands, police said. While they were face down, the men robbed them and ransacked the business, taking cash, wallets, computer equipment and a video cassette player, authorities said.

When officers ordered the men to give up, they fled in the van. At one point, the men threw out a black nylon bag containing three handguns, which were recovered by officers.

Police said the men, who were not identified, were booked at the Anaheim Police Department for robbery. The driver was also changed with felony evading arrest.
