Costa Mesa Man, 24, Stabbed in Fight

COSTA MESA — A 24-year-old Costa Mesa man walking home early Sunday was jumped by four men and stabbed in the side, police said.
The victim, Jorge Cruz, told police that shortly after 2 a.m. he was confronted by the men near 1941 Pomona Ave.
The men, described as white and in their 20s, became verbally abusive, police said. A fight ensued and Cruz was stabbed once in the right side.
He suffered a minor wound and was treated at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.
