Furniture Store Is Burned in Fire

NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A fire burned the Arte de Mexico furniture store Monday night.
It took 14 fire companies 25 minutes to quell the fire at the 15,000-square-foot structure in the 5700 block of Riverton Avenue in North Hollywood, said Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells. Two firefighters, neither of whom were identified, were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, he added.
There was no damage estimate immediately available. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Wells said.
