LAPD Women Could Not Be Treated Worse
Regarding Robin Abcarian’s column “Some Face Police Brutality at Home” (May 21), I would disagree with the statement attributed to the 16-year veteran of the force that, “women in this department are second-class citizens.”
Reading the stories in the article, it seems to me they are treated even lower than second-class citizens. I’m sure even the police dogs get better treatment than the women of the LAPD.
How high up do we have to go to get someone to chain these Neanderthals and teach them that they are not above the law? I believe L.A. citizens should start looking for someone around election time.
