Museum’s Jazz Series to Start June 20

Musicians who cut their teeth on Central Avenue will be dazzling crowds on Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood this summer during the second annual “Westwood Jazz at the Hammer” series.

With the exception of July 4, the festival will run every Friday night from June 20 to Aug. 1, featuring such jazz institutions as Buddy Collette and the Billy Mitchell Group in free concerts at the Armand Hammer Museum of Art and Cultural Center. The UCLA / Hammer Museum and the Westwood Village Community Alliance is sponsoring the series, which will begin with a 6:30 p.m. performance by pianist Eric Reed. Information: (310) 824-6365.
