‘Unwed Father’: Same Name, Different Story

In 1974, Joseph Bottoms starred in an ABC-TV movie called “Unwed Father,” playing a teenager who seeks custody of his illegitimate son.

Twenty-three years later, Brian Austin Green is starring in a TV movie for ABC, also called “Unwed Father,” about a college student who has parenting thrust upon him when the woman with whom he had a one-night stand shows up months later and leaves their infant son with him.

The film, which is being produced in Vancouver, will air next season.
