The Valley-based Southern California Suns baseball club is seeking players for a 14-15-year-old team to play in the United States Amateur Baseball Assn. World Series in Alberta, Canada. Dates and sites for tryouts have yet to be determined.

Registration has begun for the 1997 Bobby Braswell Cal State Northridge Boys’ Basketball Camp, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from June 23 through June 27 in the CSUN gym.
The camp will include basketball instruction and lectures by Braswell and his staff, as well as games and playoffs between camp teams divided by age groups. Parents are invited to attend instructional sessions and games.
Cost is $175 and includes partial medical insurance coverage.

The Conejo Youth Basketball Association Palmisano Girls Basketball Camp for players 6 to 16 years old is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 30 through July 3 at Thousand Oaks High.
The camp, led by sisters Teresa Palmisano, Michelle Palmisano and Dina Palmisano-Poteracke, will include basketball instruction for all skill levels.
Michelle Palmisano, a former Thousand Oaks High standout, was a GTE Academic All-American as a senior for Vanderbilt last season. Teresa Palmisano recently completed her fifth season as a professional player in Europe. Dina Palmisano-Poteracke played at St. Bonaventure High and Sonoma State and served as an assistant at Thousand Oaks from 1988-1995.
Cost is $90 before June 25 and $100 at the door the first day.

NBA Rookie all-stars Travis Knight and Derek Fisher of the Lakers will be featured at the Summer Pro Youth Basketball Camp for ages 8 through 16 slated for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7 through July 9 at Highland High.
Prospective participants may pick up a brochure at Athletic X-press, Champ’s, Pro Image and Sports Reflections in the Antelope Valley Mall.
