Red Wing Fan Takes Flyer Fan Downtown

I hope Tony Tavares realizes the irony in the Detroit Red Wings’ Stanley Cup victory.

The Ron Wilson-coached Mighty Ducks played better against them than any other team the Red Wings faced in the playoffs.

Mighty Duck fans deserve better than the ridiculous reasons that were given to not rehire, i.e. fire, Ron Wilson.

For the stability and good of the team for next season, and for the trust of its fans, this problem should have been solved from within, and not allowed to reach such a drastic ending.

As a longtime serious Kings fan I am shocked and disappointed with the proclaimed “ticket reduction” for next season. Nice to see that $300 seats have been dropped to $275. That doesn’t exactly help the average fan.

How can an organization that finished with the third-worst record in the league and dead last in attendance increase the cheapest seat over 100%? The $11 seats are now $22.50. That’s $7.50 more than the cheapest seat at the Pond.

Why should anyone from Orange County support this team after this latest move? The Kings should worry less about their new arena and more about filling the old one.
