Robber Strikes Seal Beach Bank; Flees in Explorer

SEAL BEACH — A Wells Fargo bank branch at the Rossmoor Shopping Center was robbed Friday by a man who fled with an unknown amount of money in a forest green Ford Explorer, police said.
The man, described as white, 6 feet tall and with a heavy build, was wearing a silver wig, red baseball hat, plaid shirt and jeans, said Seal Beach Police Sgt. Michael Vasquez. No one was injured in the holdup, he said.
Though the man did not brandish a weapon, he told the bank teller that he was armed, police said. They asked that anyone with information about the robbery contact the Seal Beach Police Department, (562) 431-2541.
