SUBURBAN STRETCH
In “Inside the 1-800 Factory” (by Charles Fishman, Aug. 3), West Frankfort, Ill., is referred to as a Chicago suburb. I grew up near that city and spent many summers at a church camp there. West Frankfort is not a suburb of Chicago, unless the city limits of that metropolis extend several hundred miles into south-central Illinois. It is, however, about 100 miles southeast of St. Louis, so one might be able to stretch the truth a bit and call it a suburb of St. Louis.
