Club Monitoring Rosa Carefully
Before training camp, the Kings had hoped that right wing Pavel Rosa, who scored 63 goals last season in juniors, was going to be a regular this season.
But Rosa suffered a concussion early in training camp and eventually was sent to Fredericton of the American Hockey League. Rosa, however, has played in only one game in the minors because of post-concussion syndrome.
“He would like to be playing but we have to be very careful and take our time,” King General Manager Dave Taylor said. “He’s got a lot of hockey in front of him, he’s only 20 years old. It’s important that we take care of [Rosa’s injury] properly and get him ready to start playing again.”
Rosa will be examined again Dec. 11 and could be back on the ice by the end of the month.
