McCoy’s Return Changes Practice Tone

The Bruins will benefit immediately from Jelani McCoy’s return to practice from suspension, Coach Steve Lavin said, simply because it creates a different tone for the big men.
Lavin, who said McCoy has “led us to two Pac-10 titles,” pointed out J.R. Henderson has nobody else on the team who can match up with him during workouts.
“It’s just a lot different when you’ve got a 6-10 guy in there,” Lavin said. “That’s a whole different situation--Jelani and J.R. guarding each other, as opposed to [walk-on] Matt Harbour guarding J.R. in the post.”
