Ice Dogs Win in a Shootout

HOUSTON — Zednek Nedved, on loan from the Toronto Maple Leafs, had a goal an assist to lead the Long Beach Ice Dogs past the Houston Aeros, 3-2, in a shootout Friday night at Houston.
Russ Romaniuk and Andrei Vasilyev each scored in the shootout for the Ice Dogs, and goalie Jamie Storr, on loan from the Kings, stopped all four Houston skaters and 28 of 30 shots in regulation. The Ice Dogs improved to 18-9-2.
