A $20,000 grant has been awarded to Anaheim Public Utilities for a project that will allow commercial and industrial customers to access information over the Internet.
The city received the grant from the American Public Power Assn.’s Demonstration of Energy-Efficient Developments program.
The money will go toward expanding a project that allows commercial and industrial customers to access information on their energy usage, peak operating hours and days, and other information needed for operations and planning.
Customers use a personal computer with an Internet connection and a city utilities-issued password to gain access to their information on Anaheim’s World Wide Web site, https://www.anaheim. net. The system collects and presents customers’ metered data.
