Elderly Woman Killed Trying to Cross Street

THOUSAND OAKS — An elderly woman was struck by a car and killed Wednesday evening, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
The woman, whom officials have not identified, was crossing the street near the intersection of Moorpark and Wilbur roads at about 6 p.m. when she was hit.
She was later pronounced dead at an area hospital, deputies said.
