The Tournament of Champions, featuring many top Southern Section teams, continues through Saturday, with the title game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Ocean View High. Fourth-ranked Tustin opens play in the Sonora tournament 8 p.m. Monday at home against Rancho Alamitos.
The 16-team Irvine World News tournament features seventh-ranked University as one of the 10 county teams involved. Play begins Tuesday. Eighth-ranked Dana Hills is in the same half of the bracket as University and the two could meet in the semifinals, Dec. 19.
