Update--Two teams that appear destined to play .500 basketball the rest of the way have a rematch after Colorado’s 89-78 win at Denver on Friday night. For the StingRays, 1-2 against the Xplosion, the challenge is to employ their bigger players--Venus Lacy, Yolanda Griffith and Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil--better than they did Friday, when Tari Phillips, Crystal Robinson and Vicki Hall combined to score 56 points, much of that in the low post. Colorado outrebounded and outshot Long Beach, particularly in the second half, when the Xplosion outscored Long Beach, 51-39.
