Homeowners Group to Hold Dinner-Dance

Mark the date, put on your dancing shoes and build up an appetite because Wednesday night is the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn.’s first Holiday Dinner Dance.
And bring your wallet, too, because local merchants will be auctioning off gifts and gift certificates. All proceeds from the auction will find their way back into the community in the form of new trees planted along Ventura Boulevard.
“It’s the first time we’re doing this, but it could be the start of an annual tradition,” said Matt Epstein, a member of the association and one of the organizers.
The party will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight at The Ventura, 13920 Ventura Blvd., Epstein said.
The $50 tickets include hors d’oeuvres, dinner, open bar and a live band for dancing.
