College Project to Map Crystal Cove’s Features
- Share via
As part of a field-study project, Irvine Valley College geology students will produce a detailed geologic map of Crystal Cove State Park in collaboration with the state park system.
“Through this project, we hope to feature the natural features of the park,” said George Brogan, a geology-marine science professor from North Tustin, who helped initiate the project.
The geological sciences department project will also include mapping of the sea floor in the park’s underwater preserve.
