Maybe the county’s best all-around player, Vickers rushed for 1,890 yards, fourth highest in the county, and scored 29 touchdowns. He also led the Vaqueros in tackles--he had 96--a third straight year, and had six interceptions, two fumble recoveries and four sacks.
