The fun of the Tournament of Roses starts before next week’s parade and the football game when the south side of the Rose Bowl is turned into the Rose Bowl Family Festival. During the four-day free event, visitors can watch final touches being applied to the floats, see marching bands and equestrian units practice, hear free concerts and shop at souvenir booths, among other activities.

Sunday-Monday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Tuesday, 7 a.m.-9 p.m.; Wednesday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free, but there will be individual charges for some events.
