Families looking for something to do during the holidays might enjoy spending some time at one of the city’s 11 parks.
“All of the parks are nice, but William Peak Park is one of our larger parks and has a lot to offer,” Kim Garber-Bond, supervisor of the Buena Park Recreation Department, said.
Among the offerings at the 15-acre park: a basketball court, ball fields, a playground, picnic areas and a volleyball court.
The park also has four professional clay courts with concrete pitching pads for horseshoes.
A horseshoe club was recently formed at the park and club members will compete in several tournaments in 1998.
Peak Park is at 7225 El Dorado Drive.
