Trojans Try to End Streak
The Trojans, who have lost three games in a row, had not lost three consecutive games since the 1995-96 season, when they were in the midst of a seven-game losing streak. The stretch would have been 10, but after the season, the NCAA made California forfeit its 85-69 victory over USC for rules violations.

The Trojans are scoring almost a third of their points from three-point range. Of the Trojans’ 627 points this season, 207 have been scored on three-point shots.

Site--The Pyramid.
Radio--KIEV (870).
Records--Trojans 4-4, 49ers 3-6.
Update--The Trojan frontcourt, almost inconsequential in the first seven games, should have had their confidence boosted by their play against Kansas on Tuesday. Junior guard Elias Ayuso is doubtful tonight after spraining his ankle against the Jayhawks, but not before scoring 19 points. Guard Kevin Augustine, who is suffering from tendinitis in his right shoulder, is expected to play. The 49ers will have 7-foot-1 center Andrew Betts for only the second game this season. He scored 11 points and had five rebounds in Long Beach’s loss to San Diego State on Monday. Betts is the tallest player in Long Beach history.
