Day Camp Gets Kids Out of the House

LAGUNA HILLS — Day camp may not sound exciting to a preteen. But at Laguna Hills’ holiday day camp, youths in grades six through eight won’t be asked to finger paint or shoot arrows at a target.
Instead, campers will be shopping at the Laguna Hills Mall and going to movies this week.
They’ll be heading to the slopes for skiing, and riding roller coasters at Magic Mountain and Knott’s Berry Farm.
For $95, the Laguna Hills camp will keep kids busy throughout the week from about 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for New Year’s Day, when the camp will be closed.
