Wright, last year’s first-round draft pick, has scored more than 10 points and grabbed more than 10 rebounds in seven of the last eight games, recorded the team’s six best rebounding performances this season and was runner-up to Michael Jordan for the NBA’s Player of the Week honor two weeks ago.

In the next game, the Clippers trailed Boston by two going into the final quarter but got blown out by 20. Against Chicago and the Lakers, the Clippers led until the fourth quarter and lost both.
But against Denver, the Clippers turned the tables. Down by 10 points with 2:34 left, the Clippers went on a 12-0 run and won by two.
