San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Co. and New York-based Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter, Discover & Co. said they have entered into a long-term agreement in which Dean Witter will provide investment products, services and support to Wells Fargo Securities, the company’s brokerage subsidiary. Dean Witter will provide insurance, mutual funds, equities and fixed-income securities products, as well as workstation technology, training, operations and processing systems to support the 380 financial consultants serving Wells customers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. . . . Palo Alto-based Pete’s Brewing Co. named former Miller Brewing Co. executive Scott Barnum as president and chief operating officer. Barnum was formerly general manager of American Specialty & Craft Beer Co., a Miller’s subsidiary that produced three craft beer brands.
