Project Fight: Opponents of the 24,000-unit Newhall Ranch project in the Santa Clarita Valley are planning a demonstration Monday morning during a public hearing before the Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission in downtown Los Angeles. Among other things, opponents contend that Newhall Land & Farming Co., the project’s developer, has not adequately addressed its impact on schools.
