Spangle Is Difference for Canoga Park, 20-7

RESEDA — Canoga Park High quarterback Mike Spangle came off the bench to start the second half and completed six of eight passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Hunters to a 20-7 victory over Reseda in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game on Friday.
The victory was the fifth consecutive triumph for Canoga Park (6-2, 5-0 in conference play). Reseda (3-5, 2-3) lost its second consecutive game.
With Canoga Park trailing, 7-0, in the third quarter, Spangle threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to Victor Torres. Spangle gave the Hunters a 13-7 lead with 10:33 remaining in the game on a 14-yard touchdown pass to Mike Shoemaker.
Canoga Park running back Junior Galvan rushed for 124 yards in 20 carries and put the game away with an 18-yard touchdown run with 2:36 to play.
Joseph Looney had 51 yards and a touchdown in five carries for Reseda.
Looney gave the Regents a 7-0 lead with a 23-yard touchdown run with 7:55 to play in the first quarter.
