Woodbridge, Freshman; Tennis
Woodbridge toppled previously unbeaten and top-ranked Corona del Mar, 10-8, with Lingman winning two of three singles sets against the Sea Kings’ high-powered players. The doubles teams-- Michelle Stiefel and Danielle Hustedt, Natalie Mitton and Aylin Algan, and Adriana Hockicko and Natasha Toto--finished it off, winning eight of nine sets.
Kirsten Berg/Volleyball/Outside hitter
* La Habra, senior. Berg had 17 kills in a five-game victory over Sunny Hills, giving La Habra the inside track to the Freeway League title.
Alicia McFall/Cross-Country
* Newport Harbor, junior. Finished three miles in 17 minutes 47 seconds to lead team to victories over host Woodbridge and El Toro.
Julieta Moran/Cross-Country
* Saddleback, senior. Won the Golden West League championship, finishing three miles at Central Park in 19:26.
