Authorities are asking for the public’s help in their effort to identify a man who was found stabbed to death in a drainage ditch along the Santa Ana Freeway.
The homicide victim, found Halloween morning, is described as a Latino, over the age of 30, 5-feet-10, 217 pounds, with black hair, black mustache and brown eyes. He has the name “Gabriel” tattooed on the back of his left shoulder and a pierced left ear. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black trousers when his body was discovered.
A pedestrian spotted the body about 7:20 a.m. on Oct. 31 while walking near the spot where Gilbert Street dead-ends with the freeway and reported the discovery to a Caltrans worker, Anaheim police said.
Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call Senior Deputy Joseph Luckey at the county coroner’s office at (714) 647-7410.
