Stroh Sides With Broncos Again

Former Granada Hills High football coach Darryl Stroh traveled to Denver last weekend to watch former Highlander quarterback John Elway lead the Broncos to victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
Stroh was invited to the game by Elway and got to watch from the sideline. It was the second time in the past two years the Broncos won with him on the sideline.
“We ought to have you here every week,” Bronco Coach Mike Shanahan told Stroh, who said he was available.
On Saturday, Stroh got to visit with Elway, who told him the Broncos recently hired Elway’s former high school quarterback rival from Kennedy, Tom Ramsey, in their sales department.
In the locker room Sunday, Ramsey was there, yelling out to Stroh, who retired from coaching last year.
Asked if standing on the Bronco sideline might inspire him to come out of retirement, Stroh said, “If I could get players like that.”
