CYPRESS — Two boys, 8 and 12, were arrested Saturday in connection with an arson fire that damaged a classroom and restroom at Cypress College.
The blaze broke out just before 3 p.m. and was brought under control by 21 firefighters within five minutes, according to Dennis Shell, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority. The fire caused about $105,000 in damage.
Hours later, police booked the two boys on suspicion of arson. Authorities were searching for a third suspect believed to be in his teens.
Shell said no further details were available about the suspects or how investigators believe they caused the fire.
No injuries were reported.
