Catalina Channel Shaken by Magnitude 3.0 Quake

A magnitude 3.0 earthquake occurred Tuesday in the middle of the Catalina Channel about 15 miles southwest of Huntington Beach, Caltech seismologists reported.
There was neither damage nor injuries reported in the 8:29 a.m. temblor in the Palos Verdes fault zone.
