A 1-5 Beginning Doesn’t Worry Fitch

Coach Bill Fitch, who lost his first 16 games after taking over the Clippers in 1994, isn’t concerned over the team’s 1-5 start.
“I’d rather be 6-0,” Fitch said after Wednesday’s practice. “It’s a lot easier to come back from 6-0 and play the next 76 games than it is to be 1-5 and play them, but our job right now is to play whatever is there for us.
“There’s no one guy that can turn it around for us and there’s no one guy that’s made us get there. I’m still learning this team. We’re 1-5, so we have to work our way out of it. “
