Prolong Income Up

ANAHEIM — Prolong International Corp., a manufacturer of lubricants for automotive, industrial and consumer applications, reported that net income for the third quarter rose 76% to $687,680, or 3 cents a share, from $390,706, or 2 cents a share, for the 1996 third quarter. Revenue increased 41% to a record $7.9 million from $5.6 million.
For the nine-month period, net income totaled $1.5 million, or 6 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $145,000, or 1 cent a share, for the comparable nine months of the prior year. Revenue grew to $20.5 million from $8.7 million.
