Katella, Senior; Cross-Country
Santibanez won the school’s first Southern Section girls’ individual cross-country title Saturday, winning the Division II race on Mt. San Antonio College’s three-mile course in 18 minutes 33 seconds, the fastest county time of the day. “It’s been a goal of hers all along to win a [section] title,” Katella Coach Mike Cochrane said.
Amy Knebel/Volleyball/Outside hitter
* Ocean View, senior. Led Seahawks in kills in Division III-A semifinals and finals, helping team win the school’s first section volleyball title.
Lindsay Phillips/Volleyball/Outside hitter
* Marina, senior. Had 20 kills and 20 digs to help team win Division I-A championship, the school’s first section volleyball title.
Dani Rope/Cross-Country
* Santa Margarita, senior. Posted county’s second-fastest time at Southern Section finals, finishing in 18:45 in the Division II race.
