‘GOOD’ TURN

Thank you! The screenwriter is more often than not the forgotten man in Hollywood. So it was gratifying not only to see the article “A Screenwriter’s Journal” view the filmmaking process from the valuable perspective of a talented writer, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil’s” John Lee Hancock, but also to actually see his beaming mug on the cover (Nov. 16).
Thanks must also be given to Clint Eastwood, who understands that writers are not competitors with directors but equal collaborators and is gracious enough to share the limelight.
