Flood Preparation Class to Be Offered
In preparation for expected rains from El Nino storm conditions, the Fire Department will hold a disaster preparedness class on flooding on Oct. 30.
The two-hour course will teach residents how to pack sand bags, seal their homes and recover damaged items.
City officials also are encouraging residents to acquire sand bags before the storms hit and buy flood insurance, which is not included in most homeowners’ policies.
The free class begins at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 10200 Slater Ave.
Information and reservations: (714) 593-4424.
