An assistant baseball coach at University High School in West Los Angeles has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of unlawful sexual contact with a 17-year-old female student, the city attorney’s office said Thursday.
The criminal complaint accuses Nestor Martinez, 24, of oral copulation on a minor as well as child annoyance, said Deputy City Atty. Brian Williams, who said authorities had secured a warrant for Martinez’s arrest.
Martinez was an assistant coach for University’s junior varsity baseball team last year and a volunteer coach for the team in the spring, according to a school official who said Martinez is no longer affiliated with the school.
