Mayor to Join in Spin Around Town

Residents are expected to join Mayor Richard Riordan on a bicycle tour through much of the southwest Valley on Saturday during the first of five community bike rides through Los Angeles.
The “Ride LA II” bike route will take participants through Warner Center in Woodland Hills and through West Hills and Canoga Park, with a rest at Lazy J Ranch Park on Valley Circle Boulevard midway through the course.
The second leg of the journey will take riders through Winnetka, Northridge and Reseda, and finally back to Pierce College in Woodland Hills.
Participants must wear helmets and be at least 12 years old.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at Pierce College, on the corner of Mason Avenue and Victory Boulevard.
