SEMINAR--Practical classroom strategies will be offered to parents and educators who work with children with learning disabilities. The event Saturday, presented by the International Dyslexia Assn., will be at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in the Wade Education Center, 455 S. Main St., Orange. C. Wilson Anderson, a nationally recognized educator and former president of the Orton Dyslexia Society, will discuss how to help children build reading, writing and spelling skills. Advance registration is required. Cost: $45 for members, $55 for nonmembers.

INTERNET--An Internet conference for educators and parents of students in kindergarten through 12th grade will be Nov. 5-8 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.
