$9,000 Raised for Victims of Violence

Working Wardrobes for a New Start raised $9,000 from its annual Sunday Sale fund-raiser this week in Newport Beach.
The Irvine-based nonprofit group assists female survivors of domestic violence.
Items for the fund-raiser were clothing and accessories remaining from this year’s “Day of Self-Esteem,” on Saturday, which provided 200 women from 20 Orange County shelters and programs with professional outfits, amenities, seminars and a career/resource fair.
