Deal With Texas HMOs

CORONA DEL MAR — Comprehensive Care Corp. said Monday it has signed contracts worth more than $12 million with four health maintenance organization partners to provide behavioral health care services to members of a Texas Medicaid program in the Houston area.
Comprehensive Care said the four HMOs are Amerihealth of Texas Inc., Methodistcare Inc., PCA Health Plans of Texas Inc. and Rio Grande HMO Inc.
Comprehensive Care said it will provide the mental health and substance-abuse services for the partners’ contracts with the Texas Department of Health. The company also will provide long-term care services to Rio Grande HMO.
Comprehensive Care administers and operates behavioral health care programs for government agencies and managed care organizations.
