Conejo Valley Home Sales Show Big Rise

There were 363 single-family homes sold in the Conejo Valley in July, a considerable increase from the 270 sold a year earlier and up slightly from the 352 sold in June, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.
The median sales price for all single-family homes in July was $260,416, compared to $242,372 in July 1996. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.
The median price breakdowns were $158,000 for 21 homes with up to two bedrooms; $223,836 for 123 three-bedroom homes; and $304,629 for 219 homes with four or more bedrooms. A year earlier the breakdown was $133,333 for 16 two-bedroom homes; $200,892 for 89 three-bedroom homes; and $294,165 for 165 homes with four or more bedrooms.
There were 97 condominiums sold in the Conejo Valley in July, compared to 95 in June and 74 in July 1996.
Total sales for all real estate transactions in July was $126.2 million. In 1996 the figure was $90.4 million.
