Estate Tax Model Hardly Seems Fair

The new tax structure for estate taxes contains a very troubling element. It seems that one’s occupation has now become the basis upon which the estate tax rate is based.
My understanding is that under the proposed tax scheme, if you own your own business or farm, your tax rate will be less than others’. What next? Will accountants have a different tax rate than teachers? Whatever happened to the concepts of equity, fairness and leveling the playing field?
